MALCOLM “LOUDNESS” STRICKLAND

Bartow, FL

Whether it’s hitting the beach for an early sunrise or snorkeling at secret local beaches, Hawaii has so much to offer. I enjoy hiking that takes me to the jungle and waterfalls and grabbing amazing food after at one of many local spots around the island. Being a photographer for 15 years, spending time with passionate people and capturing their great moments is my passion, from portraits and candids to weddings and sports, I love photographing it all and traveling to wherever an image needs capturing. Teaching and encouraging others to explore the world with their cameras is also another pastime of mine. I am really looking forward to furthering my portrait carer and being a more established photographer with Oahu Photography Tours.

My Tips For You

Hey, we go gang! It’s my pleasure to give you some great tips on how to spend your time in Hawaii. You do not have to fill every moment doing something expensive, but you need to enjoy Hawaii before you are on the plane back home, wishing you had done more with your time.

I really can’t recommend getting up to the North Shore more. It doesn’t matter when you come here, and you need to go and see the beauty it holds. Now, if you happen to go in the winter, check the website www.surfline.com to see the current conditions. If you see the Banzai Pipeline anything above 8 feet, go! Now, if you know the color yellow, indicating the waves are epic, drop what you are doing and go immediately. Come out with me on our North Shore Tour and let me do the driving so you can take it all in. After you spend some watching the waves, treat yourself to a Mai Tai at the Turtle Bay resort. You’ll thank me later.

If you want to go explore a little more and get a sweat going, try to find the “Pink Pill Box” hike on the west side of the island. The Pink Pillbox is a great sunset hike or even a mid-day hike. The best thing about this is it’s free. It doesn’t get any cheaper than that. Since you saved money doing that free hike, how about you treat yourself to a killer meal in Waikiki at House Without A Key. They probably have the best fish dishes I have ever tasted — an epic spot to end a kickass day.

You can do so much on this island, and you do not have to break the bank doing it. As long as you come on a photo tour with me, then anything else you do is a plus. Must likey, since you are reading this, you either have or are going to take a tour with Oahu Photography Tours, and hopefully, you get me, and I can tell you more awesome things to do on Oahu.

Aloha,

Mac Strickland
